Football oriented project with the aim of providing basic needs in Burundi. /SDG 1-6,16 /Impetus to Hope is an aid project that was founded in 2002 with the aim of helping people and especially children in poor countries. This was first implemented in Mozambique. A football school was started in which the children are taught motivation and endurance through daily training and their self-confidence is strengthened. Teamwork and social behavior are learned. Later, support for village communities was also added, for example through agricultural projects, an orphan project, small loans or drilling wells. In all approaches, local people are asked to take responsibility themselves. Together with strong and experienced local partners, the current areas of work were started in Kenya, Burundi and Brazil. We remain true to our approach and want to – offer disadvantaged people a new opportunity – reach children through football schools – invest in education – and also help entire village communities. We would like to establish social ties through contacts with local church communities and schools. Sports missionary work is based on basic Christian values.
