The effata One-World Circle e.V. was founded on November 9, 1997. He runs the effata world shop and, since 2005, the specialist shop effata regional & fair. The association takes care of promoting projects in the Third World and Eastern Europe. We have supported the following projects so far: Tanzania Tumor Aid Support for the victims of Hurricane Mitch in Nicaragua and Honduras Support for children in the Indian carpet industry Preda - Hope for sexually abused children ev.-luth. School in Beit Sahour / Palestine AIDS aid meeting point in Kampala / Uganda Sunuga project in Ghana Through campaigns and information events, the association contributes to raising awareness of development policy. We took part in the following campaigns: Global March against child labor Fair play - footballs without child labor We are co-sponsors of the campaign “Decree Year 2000 - Development needs debt relief” We are co-initiators of the association “Heidelberger Partnershipskaffee e.V.” We are a member of the One World Center Heidelberg, the umbrella organization of development policy action groups in Baden-Württemberg (DEAB) and the Weltladen umbrella organization. In the effata world store, around 100 action groups from the Rhine-Neckar region buy fair trade products.
