We run a “world shop” in Münsingen. We promote fairer trade. The surplus from the shop goes into a school project in “Segundo Montes”-El Salvador with currently 75 children. The focus of the school project is on financing school clothing and training materials, as well as transporting school children to primary school. The reason for our involvement, especially in the school area (where there are a multitude of other problems in this refugee resettlement...) is based on the knowledge that Illiteracy repeatedly prevents the enjoyment of basic rights and is the foundation for constant exploitation of the indigenous population groups. A development worker on site, the teacher Rudi Reitinger, coordinates various other projects in addition to the school project (elderly care, bakeries, bicycles, etc.).
