Promoting sustainable development in the Amazon region of Peru is our main goal. We work with groups of farmers in the Tingo Maria and Pucallpa areas who primarily farm ecologically (mixed crops, stick cultivation, avoidance of slash-and-burn agriculture, etc.). In and near Tingo Maria we also support a village cheese dairy and an initiative to produce cost-effective, balanced supplementary food. We also deliver the drug Glucantime against leishmaniasis (white leprosy) to Peru, primarily to a hospital in Cusco.
