In the summer of 2010, an idea was born for a project in Langa Township called “outLANGish”. Outlängish is a combination of “outlandish” and “Langa” and means “something new under the sun”. The new thing under the Cape Town sun is a project for the kids of Langa, which aims to give them a feeling of joy, togetherness and positive spirit through skateboarding. In this way, kids from poor backgrounds can learn more about themselves and their surroundings and have fun experiencing themselves. The project runs on a donation basis.
