The platform is an open association of German-speaking organizations, groups and individuals who are committed to securing human rights and improving the living situation of Dalits in South Asia (especially in India) and similarly discriminated against population groups in other countries in Asia and Africa. The platform Dalit Solidarity wants to inform and educate in German-speaking countries about the human rights and living situation of Dalits (especially in India) and support partnership groups in their solidarity work. In close cooperation with the “International Dalit Solidarity Network” (IDSN), the platform wants to continue advocacy lobbying Committees of the UN, the EU and national governments, but also with those involved in civil society (e.g. aid organizations) or private actors (e.g. companies).
