The Future Fashion Store x SECONTIQUE has a very special concept

“The Future Fashion Store is something special in Germany,” says Philipp Keil, Managing Director of the SEZ. “We have launched an innovative model that makes fashion, sustainability and global responsibility directly tangible for everyone. We're not pointing fingers here, but rather involving customers and turning sustainable shopping into an event. With the Future Fashion Store x SECONTIQUE, we offer you the opportunity to deal with the topic of fashion from a perspective other than just that of fashion,” Keil explains the concept further. Especially in difficult times like the current one, there is a risk that the critical discussion of issues such as global supply chains or the social and ecological grievances in the fashion industry will fade into the background.

The second sponsor of the Future Fashion Store x SECONTIQUE is the church aid organization Aktion Hope. Board member Anton Vaas: “With the store in Stuttgart, we want to expand our activities in the area of ​​second-hand shops in order to enable a direct form of clothing donation and to generate proceeds for our partners’ development aid projects and educational projects. We are pleased to have found a competent and committed partner in SEZ with whom we can expand our work on fair and sustainable clothing consumption in a new concept.”

The SEZ has been successfully campaigning for conscious and sustainable textile and fashion consumption in Baden-Württemberg with Future Fashion for several years. Over a hundred partners from civil society, business and the public are taking part in this Baden-Württemberg initiative, which was initiated by the SEZ and is supported by it. The Future Fashion Store x SECONTIQUE in the Gerber is a further step towards making sustainable fashion consumption a matter of course for everyone, emphasizes Keil. “I am sure that it will work.” And Anton Vaas is also convinced of the joint project. “The approach of expanding a store with varied educational and discussion formats will be exciting for us.”
