The award recognizes the commitment of citizens in Baden-Württemberg who are committed to sustainable development worldwide. The sponsoring organizations of development policy projects in 2018 through the Funding program “works!” received an award from the SEZ together with representatives from state politics. The new funding program “beffekt!” combines the previously separate funding lines for projects at home and abroad with funds from the state of Baden-Württemberg. It was allocated one million euros each for 2018 and 2019. This meant that in 2018, almost twice as many projects were able to benefit from funding compared to the previous year.
