Classic works performed by the Camerata Europeana
In the truest sense, an evening of classical music awaits visitors to this year's charity concert organized by the Baden-Württemberg Development Cooperation Foundation (SEZ) in the White Hall of the New Palace. In the first part of the concert, the Camerata Europeana under the direction of Radoslaw Szulc plays the motet Exsultate, jubilate KV 165 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the Symphony in B major Hob. I:46 by Joseph Haydn. After the break, the Violin Concerto No. 2 in D major KV 211 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is on the program.
For many years, the Baden-Württemberg Development Cooperation Foundation (SEZ) has been inviting people to its traditional benefit concert in autumn. The proceeds from donations from this year's concert evening will be used to support the Peace Ambassadors project in the Baden-Württemberg partner country Burundi. The project is supported by the Kick-off to Hope association.
The Camerata Europeana is a string orchestra whose musicians come mainly from Belarus, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Poland, Romania, France and Germany and who live in the Baden-Württemberg area. Many of them are permanently employed in professional orchestras in Stuttgart and meet in this formation for around ten concerts a year.
The footballer Thilo Kehrer from Tübingen has taken over the patronage of this year's SEZ benefit concert. The former Schalke player plays for Paris Saint-Germain. He is committed to the Initiative for Hope association and especially to its projects in Burundi.
