EXHIBITION “THE LIFE & STRUGGLE OF GARMENT WORKERS”

POSTER EXHIBITION ON LIVING CONDITIONS OF TEXTILE WORKERS IN BANGLADESH

The exhibition “The life & struggle of garment workers” was created as part of a collaboration between the Friedrich-von-Alberti-Gymnasium from Bad Friedrichshall and the award-winning photographer Taslima Akhter from Bangladesh.

Taslima Akhter works as a freelance photographer and lecturer in photojournalism. She is also president of the organization “Bangladesh Garment Workers Solidarity,” which supports garment workers in Bangladesh.

The exhibition shows the dark side of the textile industry. But fashion also works differently. The exhibition was created as part of the Future Fashion campaign, which promotes sustainable fashion and offers exciting alternatives to conventional consumption.
